He has been building international collaborations and developing inclusive learning in higher education for more than 15 years. He is co-founder of the Active Learning Network, a global community promoting pedagogic innovation.

Graham Bird is a physical geographer and currently Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor – Teaching and Learning at Bangor University. He is an active researcher in the field of environmental geochemistry and an award-winning teacher who has led and delivered a number of institutional and national projects that have enhanced teaching and learning.

She is a PE teacher educator and an active researcher, with her interests and expertise centring on health-related PE and the promotion of healthy active lifestyles within schools.
Dr Ash Casey

Professor Virna Rossi

Virna Rossi has led staff development at Ravensbourne University London (RUL), an art and design specialist university, since 2016. She has developed her own ‘roots-to-shoots’ approach to more inclusive learning design and has written a book about it. Jennifer Silverthorne is Reader in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Manchester. She has more than 20 years’ experience innovating experiential learning for pharmacy undergraduates and has introduced a scaffolded, clinically relevant enquiry-based learning curriculum. She is particularly interested in novel interventions and technologies to support isolated and disadvantaged learners.
Dr Charlie Smith
