Following the independent review of the Athena Swan Charter which reported in Spring 2020, it was recommended that Advance HE put in place a mandatory culture survey to be completed by UK academic departments applying for Athena Swan a mandatory culture survey to be completed by UK academic departments applying for Athena Swan awards.
To inform the development and implementation of this standardised assessment of departmental culture, Advance HE undertook a consultation exercise and invited expressions of interest for participation.
The consultation exercise took place from the 8th February 2021 to 5th March 2021. During this period, participants reviewed a draft culture survey and provided feedback to help finalise our approach.
