GDP Board Diversity - The role of the governing body and Nominations Committees
14 December 2022 - Virtual
This new event for 2022 will enable members of, and staff supporting, Governance and/or Nominations Committees of the Board to consider their vital role in ensuring inclusive governance. We will offer up the evidence for a step change in Board practice, with governance only being truly effective if it takes an inclusive approach across its work. We will look at how this Committee (and individual members) can and should play a leading role, through oversight of board diversity and recruitment, succession planning and enabling effective assurance of EDI and organisational culture matters in their institutions.
We will draw on our extensive work across the sector including the HE Board Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit and Diversity of Governors report (2022 version forthcoming) as well as bring together insights and examples of practice change from a diverse range of speakers, with opportunities for attendees to share their own experiences.
