Diversity

Supporting diversity in HE Studies have highlighted the crucial importance of leaders in supporting change as regards equality and diversity. This has never been more important given the increasing diversity of students entering UK higher education and the growing internationalisation of the higher education workforce.

There is still a lack of diversity in the senior ranks of UK higher education, even though people of all backgrounds are encouraged to take up its programmes.

Equality and diversity are central to the objectives of Advance HE since its creation in 2018 and the former Leadership Foundation since it was established in 2004. These pages provide an overview of our work in this area with links to information and resources on leadership and diversity in higher education.
