This presentation will explore the concept of academic integrity and unpack current and recent concerns about unacceptable academic practice in higher education such as student plagiarism and collusion. There will be a focus on ‘learning lessons’ drawing on institutional policy and practice and through looking at international research themes and methodological challenges. The presentation will identify issues that emerge through a consideration of the research and good practice literature highlighting how such tensions can provide possible directions for future policy educational practice and research.
