Capitalising on a multicultural learning environment: using group work as a mechanism for student integration

A presentation from the TIS International Conference - Internationalisation of Pedagogy and Curriculum in Higher Education: Exploring New Frontiers June 2011.

This presentation will showcase approaches in four different departments spanning three subject disciplines of how training and support mechanisms have been put in place to enhance the group work experience of diverse cohorts of students. It also aims to demonstrate that group work can be used effectively as a tool to enhance student integration and peer working in a multicultural environment for the benefit of both home and international students resulting in a more inclusive cohort.
