University College London Union was inspired to modernise and improve accessibility of its fitness centre by a desire to achieve inclusive fitness initiative (IFI) accreditation.
An accessibility audit identified a number of actions required before accreditation would be awarded.
As a result the union developed a building programme to improve the accessibility of the facility.
