Summarising the results of a survey into disclosure and support issues for disabled staff working as lecturers in higher education
Findings of a survey into support received by disabled staff, barriers they experienced, and their decision as to whether or not to disclose their disability status. The findings include:
- issues around disclosure
- working at multiple locations
- part-time and home working
- barriers and reasonable adjustments
- suggested interventions
The survey forms part of a wider ECU project examining the factors affecting the low disclosure of disability status among staff in higher education.
