This article discusses one institution's response to the curriculum change imposed on higher education institutions (HEIs) through policies and strategies to develop graduateness enhance employability widen access and improve retention. It sets out a 'skills and employability curriculum' framework for programmes including practical examples and considers some of the challenges facing this holistic approach to a potentially fragmented area of policy development.
