The experience of BME academics in higher education: aspirations in the face of inequality

Universities are required to eliminate race discrimination and proactively advance race equality. Despite such advances, there is still evidence to suggest that inequalities for BME students and staff in higher education persist. This stimulus paper addresses racism in higher education, intersectionalities and inequalities in the academy.
