An exploration of the viability of partnership between dar al-ulum and Higher Education Institutions in North West England focusing upon pedagogy and relevance

This is the final report from an HEA Islamic Studies project exploring the potential for publicly funded higher education institutions based in proximity to prominent Muslim institutions engaged in traditional Islamic education of 11-19 year olds (dar al-ulums) to engage in partnership leading to accreditation of qualifications.

These qualifications will align education in such Muslim institutions with the expectations of further and higher education without sacrificing the elements of traditional Islamic education deemed essential to the spiritual and moral requirements of faith education.
