Exploring staff and student engagement with discussion boards in the post graduate history programme at UWE Bristol (TLC 2010)

A presentation from the Teaching and Learning in History Conference 2010.

In this paper the speakers discussed the different strategies adopted by staff and students in blended learning modules on the history masters programme at the University of the West of England. We will focus our talk on the use of discussion boards accessed via the university's virtual learning environment and assess their value in modules with varying blends of face to face and online teaching and learning and different modes of assessment.
