First Effects: A New Approach to Promoting Good Academic Practice Skills Amongst Students

This paper presented at the HEA's Annual Conference 2008 evaluates an initiative being undertaken at a UK university the intention of which is to encourage positive academic practice amongst students. The project is distinctive in employing a school-based approach with the recruitment of eight Educational Development Associates to act as catalysts for change within their schools.
