The Future Directions programme for higher education in Wales

The HEA Impact Assessment Framework has been applied to the Future Directions programme to gauge impact spanning the period 2010-2014.

Drawing source information from working group documentation event feedback stakeholder interviews websites and case studies it is concluded that Future Directions has achieved positive and significant impact within the higher education sector base on networking satisfaction outcomes and the strategic development of learning and teaching. Sector bodies have recognised the influence of Future Directions on learning and teaching practices as evidenced through key policy statements and guidelines from Welsh Government the QAA and HEFCW.
