Get your Face out of MySpace?

 This paper presents a summary of literature and main issues relating to the impact of social networks in Higher Education in the UK with particular emphasis upon students' communication and engagement with faculty via social network sites. The review will be used at a later date to form a context and catalyst for the collection and analysis of empirical data relating to attitudes and perceptions of both students and faculty at University of Wales Newport.
