The first Global Teaching Excellence Award (GTEA) was conferred by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in September 2017. The award recognises and celebrates institutional-wide commitment to the pursuit of teaching and learning excellence. Commissioned by the HEA this report examines all submissions for the 2017 award. It discusses the evidence provided by all entrants in each of the domains followed by an examination of the manner in which they sought to demonstrate their excellence.
