Guide to the Process of Academic External Examining

This guide introduces a generic model of the external examining process based on a simple inputs-process-outputs model. The framework is intended to be used heuristically to stimulate thinking and discussion about practice. The generic model was developed through discussion and testing within an eleven member working group of external examiners established by the Higher Education Academy.
