How can we promote a greater mutual appreciation and understanding between students, academics and professional service staff?

Higher education institutions are likely to be more productive and more enjoyable if the people working within them, whether students or staff, appreciate and understand each others’ roles. This short paper presents findings from three case studies that explored the relationships between different groups - students, administrative/professional staff and academic staff - and sought to find ways to break down barriers between them.
