Internationalisation and quality in higher education: perspectives of English Australian and Czech senior academics through a critical event narrative inquiry

A presentation from the TIS International Conference - Internationalisation of Pedagogy and Curriculum in Higher Education: Exploring New Frontiers June 2011.

This presentation reports on research in progress investigating senior academics' and higher education leaders' perspectives on internationalisation and quality in English Australian and Czech higher education. The research focuses on these particular perspectives based on previous research indicating that senior academics (such as heads of schools and associate deans academic) play significant roles in instigating and implementation of change in higher education and yet they have often been 'neglected' (Bell 2004; Anderson and Johnson 2006; Green and Mertova 2010).
