Mentoring for Senior Executive Leadership in Higher Education: Potential and Possibilities

In 2018, Advance HE commissioned a research project to explore the potential benefits and opportunities of an executive mentoring scheme for the most senior leadership levels in higher education to support heads of institutions or deputy/pro-vice-chancellors.

The findings in this report reveal widespread interest from stakeholders with most believing an executive mentoring scheme would bring significant benefits by complementing existing provision. The data collected also highlighted 10 key themes that would need to be addressed in the design of such a mentoring scheme were it to be developed in the future.

The report is only available to Advance HE members and can be accessed below.
