The resources below provide you with the guidance and resources you need to start your application for Principal Fellowship using the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) 2023.
Our Fellowship Category Tool has been designed to help you identify which category of fellowship most closely matches your practice. Please make sure you use this tool to guide your decision on which category of fellowship to apply for.
The tool consists of a set of statements that are aligned to the different Dimensions and Descriptors of the Professional Standards Framework (PSF 2023). After you have answered a series of multiple-choice questions, which will take around 10-20 minutes, you will be shown your results and a PDF report summarising your responses will be sent to you via email.
How to submit your application
This guidance is a technical guide to creating and submitting your application via the My Advance HE portal. For guidance on developing your application, you must read the full applicant pack relevant to the category of fellowship you are applying for.
A Code of Practice for Fellows
The Code of Practice is a set of principles and expectations for individuals gaining Fellowship. Advance HE defines ‘maintaining our professional practice’ as continuing to work in accordance with the Professional Standards Framework (PSF 2023) for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.
Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education 2023
Fully revised and streamlined, the PSF 2023 emphasises effectiveness and impact, inclusion and context, as fundamental aspects of practice. As a more inclusive Framework that recognises the critical role of context in which practice takes place, the PSF 2023 will be more accessible to all professionals with a role in teaching and/or supporting learning.
