Securing educational excellence in higher education at a time of change

This report results from three online round tables held in March 2025 with 11 senior leaders in learning and teaching, 15 principal fellows of Advance HE, and three student representatives, co-hosted by Advance HE and Wonkhe. It looks at how educational excellence can be secured in higher education at a time of huge transformation, with all of the instability and unknowns that creates.

The discussion identified five critical tensions higher education leaders must navigate in pursuing and sustaining educational excellence.
