This paper describes the development of an online training module for Higher Education Staff relating to their work with International Students. The paper will consist of two parts: the first will explain the rationale for developing the training materials; the second will explain the adaptation of these materials to be an online resource of Reusable Learning Objects (RLOs). The paper will therefore link theories concerning discourse communities and cultures with practical application of these within current educational practice.
