Widening participation: Rethinking the role of the HE institution - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

This presentation will outline some of the key findings of the ‘Entry Level Employment in Bristol’s Creative Industries Sectors’ [ELEBCIS] research project; a study commissioned by Bristol City Council’s [BCC] Economy Team and funded by BCC the University of the West of England [UWE] and HEIF and which aimed to better understand the barriers being faced by young people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds wishing to access the burgeoning arts creative and cultural sector labour markets in the city
