Collaborative Development Fund 2022-23: The Academic Leadership Talent Pipeline– Good Practice Case Studies

Advance HE invites applications for the Collaborative Development Fund 2022-23 Project: ‘The Academic Leadership Talent Pipeline – Good Practice Case Studies'.

Advance HE will be collaborating with Universities Human Resources (UHR) for this project – a topic of interest to HR/OD teams and academic leaders alike given its importance in the creation and sustainability of inclusive academic leadership pipelines.  

The output from this project will demonstrate how, in achieving this aim, institutions are successfully addressing the need to embed inclusive and transparent recruitment and retention approaches and processes.

Aim and Objective

The aim of the project is to create a portfolio of case studies that focuses on sharing members’ good practices in order to support a diverse talent pipeline for academic staff who take on the formal leadership role of Head of School / Department (or equivalent) in a HEI.

Through a series of projects, the 2022–23 Collaborative Development Fund will support the growth of our members by tackling significant industry challenges collectively. Advance HE grants funding enables our members to grow by identifying major sector issues. The resources and outputs from all three projects will be made available to all members.
