Advance HE launches 2020-21 brochure for development programmes, conferences and events

20 Aug 2020 | Advance HE Online and face-to-face development opportunities designed to support institutional and individual success in the new academic year are on offer in Advance HE’s programmes, conferences and events brochure published today.

At Advance HE we review and adapt our development portfolio every year to ensure it meets the needs of our sector and our members. Our portfolio for 2020-21 addresses key challenges facing the sector around race, gender and inclusivity and leadership as well as an increased focus on digital and online pedagogy to support effective and engaging teaching both during and in the aftermath of the global pandemic.

We have built our range of solution-focused development opportunities in consultation with our members, identifying priorities such as resilience to succeed during uncertainty, sustainable educational programmes that enable student success, leadership and governance for transformative change and advancing equality, diversity and inclusion.

We know and understand that the sector is this year facing times like no other. Development and training are instrumental to preparing staff and organisations to successfully respond to both the current and future challenges within this current climate and HE landscape.

“I am delighted to launch our 20/21 brochure to help navigate the inevitable uncertainties ahead. Our development opportunities for institutions and individuals prove that investment in people, equipping them with the necessary skills and vital connections whether for digital teaching and learning, strategic leadership and promoting and tackling racial and gender inequalities for staff and students or more effective governance, is how higher education will evolve and shape its future.”

Tracy Bell-Reeves, Director of Programmes and Events at Advance HE
