Advance HE has taken the decision to postpone the EDI Conference planned for March 17-19 2020 in Edinburgh due to the current coronavirus pandemic, institutional travel restrictions, and delegate and staff health and wellbeing. This is not a decision we have taken lightly as we had a great agenda planned and a large number of delegates attending but developments over the last few days in the UK have forced us to reconsider, particularly as this is a large event.
We are all aware that we are in a fast changing and unknown situation. We will therefore plan to reschedule this event at the right time, in this academic year if possible or early next but will keep you updated on an ongoing basis about our decision making. Based on our terms and conditions and our intention to reschedule when we can, we will transfer bookings and fees to the rescheduled event when we have this date.
We will also look to see if we can offer one or two elements of the conference as an online workshop for colleagues and will advise as soon as possible. Going forward, Advance HE is moving as much delivery as we can online in recognition of the situation but it is too short notice for this particular event.
We appreciate the disappointment and changes to plans this decision will bring but feel it is in the best interests of all. We very much hope that we will have the opportunity to meet with you at a future event.
