Advance HE launches 20th anniversary of National Teaching Fellowship Scheme

16 Oct 2019 | Advance HE Applications are now open for the prestigious National Teaching Fellowship Scheme 2020, 20 years since the awards began.

More than 900 National Teaching Fellows have been awarded since 2000, with up to 55 new individuals due to be recognised in 2020 for outstanding individual impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education.

Alison Johns, Chief Executive of Advance HE, said,

"Becoming an NTF is an honour and a privilege very much valued by individuals and their institutions. Our 2020 winners will make history being awarded in our 20th anniversary year.

“Whether a National Teaching Fellowship or Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence, we are celebrating learning and rewarding the act of teaching. I urge you get involved and demonstrate the impact of your work and celebrate with us in our 20th anniversary year.”

Applications for a National Teaching Fellowship close on Wednesday 18 March 2020. Institutions can nominate up to three individuals for the award. Find out more.

Applications for the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) 2020 are also open for teams to demonstrate the key role that teamwork plays in enhancing teaching and learning through collaborative approaches in higher education.
