Packs of ‘playing cards’ – #52etc – each card with a unique idea to support student success have been shared with delegates at this year´s Teaching and Learning Conference 2022: Teaching in the spotlight: Where next for enhancing student success? Delegates have been invited to submit their ideas on the blank ‘Joker’ cards to keep up the generation of ideas, tips and hints to support innovative teaching.
Issuing the invitation, Dr Celia Brigg, Advance HE Associate Director Conferences and Events, said, “The toolkit is a really useful ‘high-impact - low tech’ resource that’s easily accessible and practical – it’s full of great ideas developed for any taught environment, whether that is face to face, online or blended. I’m sure we’ll see many more ideas come in as delegates play their joker.”
The toolkit was first launched in December 2020, as part of Advance HE’s Connect Benefit Series, to support members in their work to develop teaching practice and enhance student engagement. The toolkit was developed by Ian Turner, University of Derby, with Stuart Norton and Jess Moody of Advance HE. The #52etc toolkit is among a wide range of resources that support Advance HE’s Student Success Framework Series – “Best practice frameworks, informed by research, developed with the sector for the sector.”
