Podcast: Supporting Inclusive Boards

03 Dec 2021 | Advance HE New podcast with Kim Ansell and Tesse Akpeki in conversation about the Supporting Inclusive Boards community, as part of our Connect Benefit Series 2021-22 project 'Leading change through teams and networks'.

As part of our Connect Benefit Series 2021-22 project Leading change through teams and networks, we are supporting our governance colleagues in small and specialist institutions by teaming up with GuildHE to launch a network for supporting board diversity.

The Supporting Inclusive Boards community will convene governance professionals from small and specialist institutions in a series of developmental, online sessions to enhance and share thinking, noting the importance of the role of the governance professional in implementing change.

Using Advance HE’s Board Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit as a guide, the community will work through a range of topics from preparing the board and creative solutions to generating diverse board candidates, to successful recruitment, induction and retention in the small specialist context as well as explore future community needs.

In this podcast, Kim Ansell, Senior Adviser at Advance HE is joined by Tesse Akpeki, Director of Tesse Akpeki Associates Ltd to discuss the value of this community and what participants can expect from being part of it.
