Swiss Education Group wins ‘approval’ for global education certificate

29 Apr 2021 | Advance HE Internationally-celebrated schools specializing in hospitality, business and culinary arts – “meticulous in aligning programme to the PSF.”

Swiss Education Group, the global organisation based in Montreux that supports students across a range of disciplines relating to hospitality, has won Advance HE ‘Approval’ for its Global Education Certificate in Learning Design.

‘Approval’ means the programme is certified as aligning to the ‘Descriptor 1’ of the Professional Standards Framework (PSF). As a result, participants who successfully complete the programme can later make a direct application to Advance HE for Associate Fellowship.

Swiss Education Group (SEG) – the Swiss Alliance of Hospitality Management Schools and Swiss Education Group Professional (SEG Pro), the Global Executive Training & Advisory Community of SEG – became an Advance HE affiliate member in June 2020 with the express of achieving Advance HE Approval’ of the Group’s Swiss Professional Development Certificate in Learning, Teaching & Assessment. This programme is taught to teachers in higher education in a number of countries and with an expectation around 300 participants per year. The programme comprises three levels: Professional Development Certificate in Swiss Hospitality Education; Professional Development Certificate in Learning, Teaching & Assessment; and Global Education Certificate in Learning Design.

Swiss Education Group is world-renown for its undergraduate degree programmes, Masters, and courses in hospitality. The Group has five schools (Hotel Institute Montreux, Swiss Hotel Management School, International Hotel and Tourism Training Institute, César Ritz Colleges, Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland) across six campuses in Switzerland, with a student body made up of 111 nationalities and 6,000 students.
