National Teaching Fellow 2000 Jayne Stevens is a Principal Lecturer in Dance and Performance in the Department of Performance and Digital Arts at De Montfort University, Leicester. She teaches across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in dance, community and participatory arts, and performance. From 2001-2003 she directed the FDTL 3 project ReP: the Performance Reflective Practice Project which investigated the ways in which HE students of dance, drama and performance might better reflect on their studio practices. She is chair of the subject association, The Standing Conference on Dance in Higher Education. She is an editorial board member of Research in Dance Education and the Journal of Dance and Somatic Practices. Jayne is currently Head of Pedagogic Research for the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) in Performance Arts  (CEPA)  established at the University in 2005. Her current projects involve research into feedback and assessment, employability and entrepreneurship and dance pedagogy.
