Dr Sarah Liu
Dr. Sarah Liu is Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the cross-national comparison of gender and politics, specifically the ways contexts shape the gender gap in political attitudes and activities. Her works have been published by a wide-range of political science academic journals and also been featured in the ConversationUK and the Washington Post Monkey Cage. She appears regularly on BBC Radio Scotland and other international media. She holds a dual Ph.D. in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
She co-founded and currently chairs the Scotland Feminist Politics and International Relations Network and the University of Edinburgh’s Staff BAME Network.
