Director of People and Organisational Development , Abertay University
Eilidh leads People Services at Abertay University as a member of the Senior Management Team. Prior to joining Abertay, she was the Deputy Director of HR for the University of Edinburgh and prior to that, for Heriot-Watt University.
Throughout her career, Eilidh has had a significant role in promoting equality. She is part of Abertay’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equality Management Group and its Race Equality Charter Self-Assessment Team, and acts as a senior management contact for Abertay’s ‘Lead Voices’ for race, religion and belief.
As well as playing a key role in relation to Athena SWAN within Abertay and Edinburgh universities, Eilidh has been an Athena SWAN panel member and chair for many years, and has acted as an advisor/critical friend to other institutions in the UK and Ireland. With colleagues at Edinburgh, she established the Athena SWAN Scottish Network and chaired that group for three years.
Eilidh is currently Treasurer of Universities HR and a member of the Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association’s (UCEA) Scottish and Health and Safety Committees. She also acts as the liaison contact between Universities HR Scotland and Advance HE.
Eilidh has an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, a Post-graduate Diploma in HR Management from Napier Polytechnic (as was) and a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching.
