Professor of Sustainability in Higher Education at Keele University

Professor Zoe Robinson is a Professor of Sustainability in Higher Education at Keele University, where she also holds the roles of Co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Futures, and Director of Education for Sustainability with responsibility for embedding sustainability in the curriculum and wider student experiences.  Zoe is a National Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow of the HEA, based largely on her Education for Sustainability work.  In 2019 Zoe was shortlisted in the Times Higher Awards for Most Innovative Teacher.  Zoe  has acted as an advisor on Education for Sustainable Development for the Higher Education Academy, Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges, and National Union of Students. She has led many nationally-recognised sustainability education teaching innovation and research projects. Zoe’s education and research work covers a wide range of sustainability angles and has been funded through Defra’s Climate Challenge Fund, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, Research Councils UK, InnovateUK, HEA, and HEFCE amongst others, working in partnership with a wide range of community organisations, networks, and councils.
