Arron Pile

Arron is Residence & Campus Life Manager at the University of Salford. He has managed the support for LGB and Trans and Non-Binary students (as well as care experienced young people, estranged students, carers, sanctuary seekers and under eighteen students), into and through higher education at the University of Salford for the last twenty years.

He has written and developed the Trans & Non-Binary Policy and the associated guidance documents at the University of Salford, Other roles he has been involved in are chairing the Salford LGBT Forum and the Salford Trans Forum. Arron is the Co- Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Network for the Education of Care Leavers (NNECL) and has worked in the area of LGBT care experienced learner rights as well as setting up the LGBT+ staff network , Salford Proud, at the University, of which he still sits on the committee.
