Much of her research examines bibliotherapy, or the use of reading to impact mental health. She has worked alongside a diverse group of academics and practitioners to advocate for the role of academic libraries in the whole university approach to mental health, as well as undertaking research examining the impact of assessment, independent learning, failure and the wellbeing of academic staff in the university context.
