Marion’s background is in people management and organisation development, and she has considerable experience of working at board and executive level.
In these roles, Marion has worked closely with board members and political leaders and knows how important it is to have board members who are confident and able to act as critical friends, and for boards and executive teams to have effective relationships. She has also had specific experience of supporting boards with transparent and well-evidenced decisions on executive appointments and remuneration.
Currently, Marion is a Trustee, and Vice-Chair of the Big Education Trust, an ambitious and innovative multi-academy trust and social enterprise, seeking to deliver a big education and influence the wider education system. Within the Trust she leads on governance, Trustee appointments and induction, and senior appointments and remuneration.
Organisational effectiveness is achieved through a blend of leadership and good governance underpinned by strong values and a positive and enabling culture. Marion has shaped and led many organisational change programmes focused on articulating and embedding values and developing bespoke strategies for developing leaders that sponsor and embody these values.
