Professor Eileen Drew, is the former Director of the Trinity Centre for Gender Equality and Leadership at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland where she lectured in the School of Computer Science and Statistics and the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies.

Her research interests are: gender and the labour market, equality and diversity, work/life balance and gender in entrepreneurship and academic leadership. During her academic career, Professor Drew has been involved in research for the Council of Europe, European Commission, EIGE, EUROFOUND and the European Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA).

She was engaged in consultancy for numerous EU projects including: Social Security Reform Cooperation Project in China (EUCSS). Professor Drew played an instrumental role in driving the Athena SWAN initiative in Trinity College. She was Coordinator of the Systemic Action for Gender Equality (SAGE) Horizon 2020 Project, 2016-2019. Dr. Drew is currently a Guest Professor at the Faculty of Science, Lund University, Sweden where she is providing consultancy support for the drafting of the Faculty of Science Gender Equality Plan along with workshops for training of Unconscious Bias Observers, engaged in academic recruitment.

Her book “The Gender Sensitive University: A Contradiction in terms?” was recently published by Routledge, UK.
