Professor Tashmin Khamis is Vice Provost (Quality, Teaching and Learning) at the Aga Khan University (AKU) and established the AKU’s Network of Quality, Teaching and Learning that supports faculty to enhance teaching and strengthen the student learning experience. Tashmin is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA). She leads the Advance HE accredited TEACH CPD Scheme at AKU, the only HEA fellowship CPD scheme in Pakistan and East Africa. She is also Past President of EAQAN (The East African Higher Education Quality Assurance Network). She served as a Board Director of INQAAHE (The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education). She currently leads a university improvement programme with high mountain universities in Northern Pakistan, Chitral and Central Asia. Prior to joining AKU, Tashmin worked for over 20 years in academia, management and development settings in the UK and Europe, South and Central Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
