In response to the impact of Covid-19 on opportunities for face-to-face learning, teaching and assessment on campus, blended, hybrid and online learning approaches have been prioritised within the higher education sector to ensure that every student gets the best possible experience. Within this context, the University of Surrey’s approach to hybrid education has been articulated through its Centre for Management Education as Active Digital Design (ADD).
In collaboration with the University of Surrey, during this free webinar our speakers will offer a really practical walk-through of the ADD approach, with useful tips and advice on how to build an active, engaging online learning environment. We’ll talk through the importance of the underlying learning principles of exploring, collaborating, creating, sharing and reflecting, as well as taking you through the five steps used to transform the virtual learning environment at the University of Surrey; and we’ll share and explore the ways in which module templates, learning icons and learning design sprints are used to support and help colleagues to create a really high-quality learning experience.
