Group of people in discussion

Thinking Spaces

A series of half-day, topical workshops designed to support senior and strategic leaders in responding to current challenges in the sector in a safe and confidential environment.

Overview

With Brexit, Auger and the equality agenda all contributing to an environment of complexity, uncertainty and growing unrest, these sessions aim to provide an opportunity to discuss pressing issues with both experts and peers.

The events will involve keynote speakers including inspirational leaders and experts from outside HE and key colleagues from within the sector who will provide the contextual background to the topic. Attendees will be challenged to review how their institution is responding to key issues and consider where further action is needed.

The first event will be held in the late Autumn. Topics currently being considered include the future funding models and operating models for universities, global challenges for HE, mental health and wellbeing, 4IR, and reimagining academic careers.
