Judith is an innovative and creative academic who is able to bring new insights into teaching. Judith constantly strives to develop strategies to build bridges that support students and build self-resilience.
Farrukh Akhtar’s work as a social worker for over 25 years, and senior lecturer for ten years, has fed her interest in engaging with counter-narratives. She has led a number of innovative projects that have championed the themes of developing inclusive and transformative curricula, increasing student soft skills and creating community.
Associate Professor Alison Baverstock's publishing career prompted her to capture, describe and develop thinking around effective practice; her books on publishing entered HE as standard texts, were widely translated and adopted internationally at undergraduate, Masters and research levels.
