Innovation in Teaching Practice Workshops

A series of one-day online workshops covering a range of topics relevant to teaching and learning in HE, responding to increasing pressures on institutions from policies such as the subject level TEF in England, or challenges such as the mental wellbeing of both staff teams and students.

Benefits

These virtual workshops have been designed to equip participants to lead change and monitor impact, as well as providing insights beneficial to help you recognise your contribution to your team and the wider institution. Each workshop will focus on a different area of teaching and learning practice and will develop your skills through the use of practical tools and tips. The workshops provide practical support to introduce new innovative teaching practice developments and to assist you with implementing policy at module, programme, departmental or faculty level.

An interesting and engaging workshop challenging to think differently and more bravely! Good use of digital learning to create an engaging session in challenging times. Dr Rachel Curzon,Senior Education Developer, Birmingham City University

Delivery model

The workshops are designed for academics leaders such as heads of departments, academic programme leaders and developers, or teaching practioners like lecturers, academic and support staff, and learning technologists.

Each one-day, virtual workshop will be led by one of our principal or senior advisors from our Knowledge, Innovation and Delivery team and an associate of Advance HE. The format of the day will provide an interactive forum for learning, sharing practice and overcoming barriers to excellent teaching.

Buff line

During 2021-22 we will be running a series of workshops focused on equality, diversity and inclusivity topics to support practitioners, managers and leaders within HE institutions across the UK.
