Refers to activities and learning experiences that complement the academic curriculum.

Co-curricular activities are usually voluntary and are not graded for academic credit. Examples include musical performances debate competitions student newspapers and voluntary services. The terms co-curricular and extracurricular are often used interchangeably and defined variously by higher education providers.
