Our events portfolio recognises the differing needs and particular challenges of institutions across an increasingly divergent HE sector. We also respond to the different priorities and needs of individuals within their career pathways, from balancing the demands of teaching and research commitments, to moving towards first line management and leadership and those leading at the most senior levels initiating strategic and transformational change.
Our symposia series focuses on thematic areas of interest within teaching and learning and are for anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of the latest teaching pedagogies and upskill their practice in key areas.
During 2020-21 we will be running a series of workshops focused on equality, diversity and inclusivity topics to support practitioners, managers and leaders within HE institutions across the UK.
During 2020-21 we will be running a series of one-day workshops covering a range of topics relevant to teaching and learning in HE, responding to increasing pressures on institutions from policies such as the subject level TEF in England, or challenges such as the mental wellbeing of both staff teams and students.
Throughout the year, we run a number of writing retreats designed for those working on their Senior or Principal Fellowship applications.
