Developing simulation as an alternative form of clinical placement in pharmacy and other health and social care undergraduate programmes

This case study outlines an initiative undertaken by Robert Gorden University as part of the HEA's Responding to the National Student Survey in the disciplines Change Programme.

Robert Gordon University pursued a change initiative with the aim of exploring the role of simulation in courses that have not traditionally made great use of it as teaching and learning activity. While the project is intended to will deliver outcomes that will reach across a number of healthcare disciplines at this stage the work is focussed on two pilot projects (one in Pharmacy and one in Nutrition and dietetics; N&D).
