Enhancing support for first year psychology students through student guided and produced audio podcasts

This project builds a distinctive student focused avenue for learning support embedded within available academic resources through the production of accessible podcasts which deliver realistic and practical information to first year psychology students. The material derived from experienced students will be gathered and edited by student 'reporters' and made available via a core module website. Student involvement in the project ensures that material is meaningful and has direct and immediate significance for the audience. Quantitative and qualitative evaluation will investigate the range of take up by students the specific way in which distinctive students draw upon and use the material and the characteristics of the issues deemed important to convey to first years.
