HEA review of research literature: Access retention attainment and progression

This review forms one of a suite of four literature reviews commissioned by the HEA in 2015-16 to inform the sector of recent work in this area.

The review aims to identify what works in relation to access retention progression and attainment aligned with the HEA's framework in this area. It will highlight evidence-based policy or practice that has had a demonstrable impact on student outcomes in higher education. The review plans to show sector developments and changes in these areas bringing together and updating evidence since the last HEA review (Jones 2008) and producing a searchable database for use in higher education institutions.
