Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) provide alternative methods of engagement to enhance student learning. Both immersive technologies use alternative route for engagement and aim to motivate students to explore topics in more depth. The experiential nature of the resources will help students make connections between their learning experience and that of others. Incorporating AR and VR as part of the student journey could be particularly impactful for increasing student awareness of and engagement with researcher skills development events and to provide multimedia-rich explanations of the process and multiple perspectives on experiences.
